Join Avi in discussing the similarities in Jewish suffering and survival in Europe and in the Middle Eastern countries. Born in Iran and educated at Hebrew U. of Jerusalem and at SUNY at Buffalo, NY, Avi worked 35 years in pharmaceutical industry in various capacities. Avi lived in Israel for 8 years and is fluent in Hebrew and Farsi and the history of Israel and Jewish people. During the past 20 years he travels to Israel 3-5 times a year to visit family and friends, and to work at an Israeli company (Taro Pharmaceuticals). In his spare time he enjoys reading about Israeli and Jewish history, religion, philosophy, Middle Eastern history and politics as well as listening to popular, classical, Western, Jewish and Middle Eastern music.
