Community-Wide Yom HaShoah Observance
Join us for a powerful and moving Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) Observance, honoring the resilience and legacy of Holocaust survivors. This special event will feature a screening of the acclaimed documentary How Saba Kept Singing, followed by an insightful Q&A with Avi Wisnia, grandson of the film’s subject.
Avi Wisnia will share personal reflections and perform one of his grandfather’s cherished songs, ensuring that the memory and music live on for future generations. The evening will also include a memorial service and candle lighting ceremony to honor the six million lives lost in the Holocaust.
Moderated by Michelle Edgar of the Raritan Valley Community College Holocaust & Genocide Institute, this observance is an opportunity for reflection, remembrance, and education.
All are welcome. Let us come together as a community to remember, learn, and ensure that the voices of the past continue to be heard.
